I perform my work as part of Wine and Words, a project I launched with my friend and colleague Jane Wyles. Jane and I created a poetry and supper event together (Hearty Food and Heartfelt Words at Gannets) in Newark in 2013 as part of Nottingham Poetry Festival. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we decided to make it a regular event.

 

That was ten years ago. Since then, we have performed our unique mix of poetry readings plus a little audience participation across Nottinghamshire at Newark Book Festival, Inspire Poetry Festival, Lowdham Book Festival and NNLF (North Notts Lit Fest), in wine bars, and also in private homes and gardens.

Performing your work is a fantastic way to get a direct response from your audience. It can be nerve-wracking though. If you are new to performing your work and need some help, I offer performance development.
