Fiona is a poet, writing mentor and experienced creative writing tutor based in Nottinghamshire.
Her work has been published in national and local poetry magazines including Mslexia, The Interpreter’s House, Envoi, Ink Sweat and Tears and Left Lion (Nottingham). Fiona’s pamphlet Step, featuring poems about shoes and identity, is currently in development for publication.
Since 2013 Fiona has also been one half of Wine and Words, a Nottinghamshire poetry duo. Wine and Words create light-hearted poetry performances, featuring their own and other well-loved works, which they perform at book festivals and other venues across Nottinghamshire. Wine and Words have created events for Nottingham Poetry Festival, Lowdham Book Festival, Newark Book Festival, and NNLF (North Notts Lit Fest), as well as bespoke events such as charity fundraisers and celebrations. Fiona is also a writing mentor. She works one-to-one with those who want to develop their poetry or who need input on a specific project, for example preparing a pamphlet for submission.
